State and Federal Accountability API/AYP

All California schools are "graded" by the State of California and the Federal Government in Washington. Students must meet minimum proficiency levels in a variety of academic subjects each year. If schools fail to meet the State and/or Federal goals, both school-wide and for each significant ethnic group, they can face reduction of funds and possible state takeover.

Santiago High School has met all State and Federal goals, and in fact, has had one of the highest test score improvements of any public high school in California over the last 6 years.
