Academic Decathlon Purpose

Academic Decathlon is a team of hard working students who study the curriculum provided for the United States Academic Decathlon in order to compete in the Orange County Academic Decathlon competition. Curriculum and competition is in the following subjects: Literature, Social Science, Science, Math, Art, Music, Economics, Speech, Interview, and Essay. 

 

The Orange County competition typically takes place over two weekends: the last Saturday in January, and the first Saturday in February. Students study materials and practice speeches and interviews weekly up until the competition.
