Cavalier Time
What is Cav Time?
CAV Time (tutorial) is time to get extra help and complete assignments.
- Cav time is part of the school day! It is in between 2nd period and break and you must sign up for Cav Time on 5-Star.
- You must be on the teacher’s current class roster.
- If you have a D or an F in one or more classes, you must attend tutorial in those subjects until your grade improves to a C or better.
- You will not be admitted to a tutorial if you have not signed up for it.
- Admin and teachers may assign you to a specific class as needed.
- Time (tutorial) is time to get extra help and complete assignments.
Cav Connect Mondays
All students will be assigned one teacher to attend Cav Time every Monday with. You will be with this teacher on Monday Cav Times for the whole year. Your structured Cav Time Mondays are where you will:
- Hear important school announcements
- Take surveys or complete other schoolwide required activities
- Plan and sign-up for Cav Time’s for the rest of the week on 5-Star.
Your Cavs Connect Monday teacher will be listed at the bottom of your class schedule.
What to do during Cav Time on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
- An opportunity to make-up assignments, labs, quizzes, tests, test corrections, etc.
- An opportunity to get extra help on a challenging subject matter
- A time to review for upcoming assessments/assignments
- A time to work on or add to your Focused Notes
- A time to study with your classmates
- An opportunity to catch up on reading assignments
