Vietnamese 1 Assignments

Course Objective:

This course is designed for you to acquire the foundations of reading, writing, listening and speaking for basic Vietnamese language and culture. You will be expected to participate in class everyday. There will be several forms of assessments which will culminate with two final exams at the end of each semester.

Materials That Will Lead To Success:

You will need to bring the following to class EVERYDAY to do well:

-          At least 2 appropriate writing utensils (pencils preferred)

-          Different colored pens or pencils

-          Notebook (REQUIRED! We do everything in our notebooks.)

-          Plenty of loose leaf lined paper

-          Tiếng Việt Textbook (Author Độ Thị Minh Hồng)

-          An open mind with a good attitude J

Recommended Materials for Support:

The following are tools that you may find helpful to have:

-          Vietnamese-English English-Vietnamese Dictionary (available at any Vietnamese bookstore)

-          Home internet access

-          Download program to type in Vietnamese from www.unikey.org

-          Limitless index cards

-          1 binder. 5 tab dividers for the binder (Warm-Ups, Homework, Notes, Vocabulary Quizzes, Tests)
