This is a very engaging way to speak to an audience, but you must... Properly prepare.  Think about WHY the audience should care.  The opening should engage the audience and let them know what you will be talking about, and the closing should sum it up.  Make one point at a time.  Use stories to make your point.  KISS.  You will not be reading...you will be speaking.  Use the slides to focus your attention on what you want to say.  If you do pecha kucha, you have to practice a lot, you cannot wing it; your message has to be clear and concise and your timing has to be  en pointe.
