I love working at Santiago I believe I have the best students. They are creative, intuitive and love to be challenged. I have been teaching at Santiago for over 16 years now. The classes I teach currently are; Computer Graphics 1, 2, and 3, Video Production 1, 2, and 3, Digital Photography, Journalism 1, 2, and 3 and Publications. I am the the advisor of "The Young Film Makers Society", SHS Yearbook, Photography/Digital Media Club, and Japanese Pop Culture Club. I love watching these programs grow and the creativity and commitment that blooms through my students’ visions and accomplishments.

 

A little of info about me...I am a teacher and an designer. I am a UCI graduate. I hold a B.A. in Psychology, a BA in Studio Art with a minor in Digital Arts. I also hold a M.S. in Educational Technology, a M.Ed. in Education and a Clear/CLAD California Teaching Credential teaching credential. I am certified in animation, web design, video production, film and film history. I am Adobe certified. I continue to stay abreast of the industry standards in art and technology. I have been in the entertainment and design industry for 23 years. I have been teaching for 22 years, college 7 and high school 17.

I love all forms of art I work with various mediums such as photography, film, sculpture, computer graphics, multimedia, mixed media and my favorite right now combination of all within fiber arts.

    A fun fact is that I also have my cosmetology and esthetician license, I enjoy all aspects of the beauty and fashion industry, specifically special effects makeup and visual effects.  have 2 illustrated published children’s’ books and I am currently writing my first fictional story and some day hope to have it published. I have a spa room and a separate design studio where I create during my time off from teaching. I work with various arts organizations and volunteer when I can.

    I am married to my high school sweetheart and have two daughters Chazleigh and Mattisyn and two step-sons Brandon and Chase, 2 puppies Santino and Stella and a cat named Tigger. I love to make art, travel, watch films, listen to all genes of music, cook, dance, play the drums, garden, work with animals and just have fun.
